I’ve Registered. What Happens Now?

 

What’s the process?

A few weeks prior to the start of the season, our Region Board begins the process of recruiting coaches and putting the teams together for the upcoming season. When this is completed, the uniforms will be ordered and the coaches will be notified.

When Will We Get Called?

Most coaches will contact you via email – not phone. Please check your email on a regular basis, checking both your inbox and spam folders.  

Fall Season

A coach or AYSO Honolulu Region Staff person should contact you by mid-August.

Spring Season

For 10U and 12U Families:  A coach or AYSO Honolulu Region staff member will contact by the end of December. 

For Playground, Schoolyard, 6U, 8U and 14U through 19U families: A coach or AYSO Honolulu Region Staff member will contact you by mid-March.

What Does Our Child Need?

1) Shin Guards
2) Safe athletic shoes or soccer shoes (no spikes)
3) Soccer Socks
4) Water Bottle
5) Soccer Ball: 
Playground, Schoolyard, 6U, 8U = Size 3  
10U, 12U = Size 4 
14U & Older = Size 5
6) For 12U and older: completed HCAMP BrainsSpace Training.  For more info on HCAMP, see: AYSO Honolulu - HCamp (AYSOHonolulu.org) 

When are practices & games?

Practice days, times, and location are determined by the coach.  Games will be on Saturdays.  Playground and Schoolyard  meet once a week on Saturdays.  U6 may practice once a week.  U8 and older may practice twice a week.

Parent Information:

• For the safety of our children, a parent or guardian of young players (Playground, Schoolyard, U6 & U8) is REQUIRED to be at the field for all practices and games.
• No smoking or alcoholic beverages are permitted at practices and games.
• Positive support and encouragement is expected. Parents cheer, coaches coach.
• Respect our parks. Observe all City & County Park Rules, including NO PETS allowed
• PARK in marked stalls only.
• Do not drive onto the fields.
• Place all trash in proper receptacles.

Partial Refund Request:

Refund Requests must be in writing prior to August 1 for the Fall Season,
and for the Spring Season, prior to December 1 for 10U/12U divisions,
and prior to March 1 for the Playground, Schoolyard, 6U, 8U, and 14U+ divisions.
